A New Stryga
Finished and ready for the NAMM Show
This is the third in a series of articles on the instruments we’ll be showing at the upcoming NAMM Show in January, 2026.
The first thing that hits you about this new Stryga is the incredible figuring of the Black Limba body and neck. The contoured body is inlayed with Royal Blackwood stripes which are reminiscent of early surfboards.
The Black Limba neck has two carbon fiber strengthening rods running parallel to the truss rod to help stabilize the neck against movement. The headstock is inlayed with my makers medallion and the 25.5” scale fretboard is Royal Blackwood to match the body stripes. Jumbo frets finish it off.

The 10-52 D’Addario Pro Steel strings are the perfect match for this guitar. They are tuned through a set of Steinberger tuners and connected to a Hipshot hardtail bridge.
A set of Lace Alumitone Riffian P90’s will allow the musician to get as nasty as they want! The electronics of this beauty consist of a set of 250K CTS posts, a .022 Orange drop cap and a Switchcraft 3- way toggle and output jack.

Very nice work! 😎 For a moment I thought the hot rod stripes were part of the soundboard wood figure as they look so natural there
